Vests are a fun accessory for fall!

Fall's arrival brings with it a rich pallette of changing leaves, cooler nights, hayrides and bonfires. These are just a few of my favorite things since fall is the season in which I thrive! I love layering sweaters, jackets, knits and vests both for fashion reasons and just the pure comfort of being completely covered in soft cottons and wool.

This season, one of my favorite layering pieces is the vest. These adorable zip up styles are perfect for layering over a light sweater or thermal to wear to a football game. They're light enough to wear over a tee to go shopping or to school.

Another great thing about choosing a vest is that it is an easy way to try out another trend like faux leather, denim accessories, plaid or menswear. Vests are as much an accessory as they are a piece of clothing so your look gets an injection of your favorite trend in a small dose.

The faux leather style shown here is a bomber type jacket with knit trim by Jolt. It's only $36, so you can definitely afford the matching black knee boots and skinny jeans! The buffalo check vest is a hooded flannel style by Jack for BB Dakota. It is lined, and trimmed in black. Because of the neutral color palette, you could wear this with just about any color top.

Try a fashion vest or a timeless style to add a little warmth and a fashion boost to your wardrobe! It's so simple and incredibly affordable.
